sWIFT HM Rudder Vertical (v2)

The new v2 Swift HM Rudder Vertical while being a very recent product in our range, also offers some of the largest performance increases than we have seen to date. In particular the reduction in drag coefficient and skin friction is very significant as we pushed the thickness and cord size to an absolute minimum.

The new rudders also offer structural improvements over the v1 model as we move to pressu moulded pre-preg technology. Compression strength improvement of up to 60% has been achieved as a result meaning that these rudders are our strongest to date.

For Macg 2 boats the additional length is something you will instantly notice as it allows you to fly higher (reducing main vertical drag as well) + you can also push the boat lot harder knowing that you will maintain steerage and control.

To ensure product quality and repeatability, our Swift rudders are manufactured in Australia, using precision aluminium tooling that ensures excellent shape accuracy while solid high modulus carbon fibre construction makes them arguably the stiffest and strongest verticals on the market.

All foils are supplied in clear carbon top with 2K grey epoxy primer on the submersed area, that allows you to sand down to the required grade (often determined by the water temperature). These verticals exclusively fit the Swift horizontal rudders that are available with our unique new (2023) style join that further increases durability.
